Music has a way of doing things to people in spite of location and purpose.
And it was no different as hundreds of gospel music lovers converged at Ilaro Court last Thursday night for the annual Crop Over Gospel Concert produced by the National Cultural Foundation.
The event has become one of the places to be for the festival and each year the space seems inadequate for the growing numbers.
But these “spirit-filled” attendees, undaunted, made room as they abandoned their chairs to move to the ear-catching melodies and meaningful lyrics on the lawn of the Prime Minister’s residence.
Photographer Ricardo Leacock caught these women as they expressed themselves.
