Three on drug charges

THREE MEN HAVE been charged in connection with the discovery of ten pounds of cannabis in a refrigerator compressor imported from Jamaica by air. 

They are Ian Antonio Babb, 33,  of Kendall Hill B, Christ Church; Shawn Anthony Ricardo Scantlebury, 36, of 1st Avenue Fairfield, Black Rock, St Michael; and Dave Anderson Codrington, 30, of Bannister Land, Martindales Road, St Michael. 

They were  arrested and jointly charged for the acts preparatory to trafficking cannabis, conspiracy to import cannabis and trafficking. Codrington received an additional charge of importation of cannabis. 

The men are expected to appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today. (PR/NB)
