RPB’s mum laid to rest
THE ENTERTAINMENT fraternity turned out in their numbers to lend support to one of their own in time of sorrow at St Catherine’s Anglican Church yesterday.
It was the occasion when Stedson Wiltshire, more affectionately called RPB (Red Plastic Bag), a ten-time calypso king of Barbados, and his family said their last farewells to mother and matriarch Ruby Wiltshire at a packed church on the hill in St Philip.
There was singing, sadness and smiles, all expressions which pointed to a life well lived and one sorely missed.
Dignitaries in attendance included Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler and Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley, parliamentary representative for the area. (JS)
