Pan goes North
SPEIGHTSTOWN MARKET and Q in the Community attracted large crowds into Speightstown today.
This year, the event included a wider range of activities during the day, such as the Speightstown market, a kaiso open mic, live and DJ music and more before a cruise left Bridgetown at 6 p.m. and headed north to join the activities.
The event attracted a large number of people – some who danced to pre-recorded music in the esplanade, some who enjoyed the numerous food and drink on offer and others who watched some of the live performances.
Despite all the activity, however, business owners and vendors said this did not translate into increased sales for them. (CA)
