Three charged in police attack
THREE PEOPLE ARE expected to appear in court today in relation to the July 9 incident at Wilkinson Road, Richmond Gap, Black Rock, St Michael in which two police officers in pursuit of a suspect were attacked.
According to police public relations officer Inspector David Welch, the suspect was invited into a house at Wilkinson Road by a female. During the efforts to arrest the suspect, the police officers were attacked, assaulted and obstructed and received injuries. The suspect was able to get away.
As a result, Charmaine Sharon Marshall-Greene, 42, of Wilkinson Road, Richmond Gap was charged with obstructing and assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty.
Twenty-year-old Shaddieze Greene, also of Wilkinson Road, was charged with assault as well as obstructing, assaulting and resisting a police constable in the execution of his duty.
Terry Greene, 47, of 2nd Avenue, Chapman Lane, St Michael was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The trio is expected to appear at the District “A” Magistrates’ Court. (PR/NB)
