For the past six years, Kensington Oval Management Inc. has treated children heading back to school after the summer vacation to a day of fun.

Event coordinator of yesterday’s Ovaltastik Fun City, Diane Prescod, said the event continued to grow bigger every year and expected as many as 9 000 people to attend.

“We were able to give out more free tickets to children 12 and under after visiting the various camps, other institutions and throughout some communities,” she said.

New this time around was a zip line as well as the Fun City Soca Rave featuring Hypa Dawg and the Hypa Kids; Gorg and DJ Ras. (CA)
