BULGARIAN Nikolina Slavova has been arrested and charged with several drug offences related to the importation of just over six pounds of cocaine.
The 28- year-old arrived from St Vincent yesterday evening, in-transit to London.
After being interviewed by personnel from the Drug Squad at the Grantley Adams International Airport, she was taken to the Oistins Police Station where a detailed search was made of her luggage. A package of cocaine weighing three kilos was found in a false compartment.
Slavova has been charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, importation and trafficking of the illegal substance.
She is expected to appear in the District B Magistrates Court tomorrow. (PR/SAT)
