WORKERS AT THE UNITED COMMERCIAL Autoworks Limited (UCAL) aren’t driving another stroke until the Transport Board pays the $20 million which is owed to them.

That is the stance being taken by the company’s 140 employees after wages, which were due to be paid yesterday to weekly workers, were not delivered.

And while monthly workers received their salaries on Monday, they have also banded with their fellow workmates to strike.

When the DAILY NATION visited UCAL’s Roebuck Street, St Michael headquarters yesterday, it resembled a ghost town.
