In a draft today at the Accra Beach Hotel, only two players were selected to represent franchises outside the land of their birth.

Guyanese batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan, a former West Indies captain, was the second pick for Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, while Barbadian all-rounder Raymon Reifer, was snapped up by the Guyana Franchise in the very first pick of the draft.

Sarwan, 34, is a veteran on 220 first-class matches since his debut in 1996, while Reifer, 23, represented Combined Campuses and Colleges for four successive seasons, starting in 2011.

Each franchise was allowed five picks to add to the ten players they had retained prior to the draft.
