A FLASH FLOOD watch has been issued by the Barbados Meteorological Services and it will remain in effect until 4 p.m.
Director Hampden Lovell said the “combination of light winds, adequate low level moisture and strong daytime heating is expected to produce locally moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms mainly over some central, northern and north-western sections of the island”.
He said some flash flooding is likely, and residents in flood-prone areas should be on the alert and take the necessary precautions. (NB)
