Samuels’ ton not enough
DHARAMSALA, India – West Indies slid to a 59 run defeat in the third One Day International against India despite Marlon Samuels striking his seventh ODI ton and his second of the series.
Samuels struck 112 runs from just 106 balls, hitting nine boundaries and six sixes. Andre Russell played an aggressive cameo innings of 46 runs from 23 balls, slamming six fours and three sixes. At the top of the order, Darren Bravo hung around scoring 40.
Meantime, the West Indies Cricket Board has advised that contrary to media reports, it has taken no decision to discontinue the ongoing tour to India.
