PM: Don’t worry

THE ISLAND has survived three oil crises and it will survive this economic one.

And Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has assured Barbadians that Government is working “steadfastly and consistently to keep challenges under control”.

“There is no need for Barbadians to worry,” the Prime Minister stressed.

“We have the challenges within focus and we are working steadily on them to get the economy of Barbados back to normal where growth can take place and where the economy can begin to expand and the cake can begin to get a little larger again so that more people can benefit from the country’s prosperity.
We are doing the best we can in all the circumstances,” he said.

Speaking to journalists after he addressed teachers, children and parents at a Blessing of the Nation Service at the St Philip Primary School yesterday morning, the Prime Minister stressed the economic challenges faced by the island were “not challenges with which we cannot deal”.
