Bin Laden documentary is tops for Fox
NEW YORK (AP) – Fox News Channel’s two-part documentary on the former Navy SEAL who claims to have fired the shots that killed Osama bin Laden stands as the network’s most popular documentary ever.
Reporter Peter Doocy’s interview with Robert O’Neill averaged just over three million viewers last Tuesday and Wednesday. The Nielsen company said the second part stood as Fox’s most-watched program of the week.
Meanwhile, CBS’s effort to establish a new Hollywood awards show may have cost the network a ratings victory last week. CBS’ Friday night audience for the Hollywood Film Awards was about a third of the audience it gets for its regular fare.
NBC was the nation’s most popular network last week.
