DOCTORS AT THE Queen Elizabeth Hospital are handling only emergency cases.

The decision was announced today after an hour-long emergency meeting of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners and the Junior Doctors Association.

BAMP officials said the action was because of an acute shortage of supplies at the island’s premier health care institution, which was putting patient care at risk. (TY)
