The revelation comes after officials from the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Housing, Department of Emergency Management and the Soil Conservation Unit paid a visit to the community a week after torrential rains triggered severe land slippage and caused the road in and out of the rural district to break away.

Officials were tight-lipped when asked to speak on the record but a MPW representative for the area, who requested anonymity, said the upshot of yesterday’s meeting was that officials were unsure when the residents would be relocated.
