Australia-India series to start in Adelaide
SYDNEY (AP) — The delayed first cricket test between Australia and India has been moved from Brisbane to Adelaide and will start next Tuesday.
The Brisbane test, which was scheduled to be the series-opener, will now be the second test.
The new dates were announced by Cricket Australia Monday following the death last week of Australia batsman Phillip Hughes.
Hughes died after being struck by a bouncer while batting in a state game. His funeral will take place on Wednesday.
The series was due to start this Thursday.
The first test in Adelaide will be from December 9-13 and the second test in Brisbane from December 17-21. The fourth test in Sydney was also re-scheduled to start January. 6.
