SIX SOCIAL WORK students from the University of the West Indies are the brains behind an A-class spruce-up of the resource library at PAREDOS.

What started out as a $2 000 project rolled into $15 000 over the seven months to completion, but they successfully completed the class project, got a ‘A’s for both the project and the course and will make life much easier for the staff at PAREDOS and the people who use their services.

The completely revamped room, which was done with the assistance of the Massy Barbados brand, is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and was officially handed over during a brief ceremony this morning.

The six who worked on the project are Lue-Ann John, Juliet Hinds, Marion Clarke, Betty Griffith, Heather Carrington and Paulette Quintyne.  (YB)
