Men being questioned about drug seizure

THREE MEN ARE being questioned by police in connection with the seizure of 54 pounds of compressed cannabis on Crane Beach, St Philip on Sunday afternoon.

Police public relations officer Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch said the Barbados-registered fishing boat was intercepted at sea during an operation by the Drug Squad, Police Marine Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard.

A subsequent search of the nearby beach reportedly turned up one duffle bag containing the drug. (PR/NB)
