In the name of love
There was an outpouring of love in Queen’s Park yesterday, led by entertainer Terry “Mexican” Arthur and his band of Christmas merry-makers.
The love fest is going to continue throughout the Christmas period as members of the Love Day Crew, made up mostly of Facebook friends, busy themselves by handing out gifts of all sizes and varieties.
Yesterday, they joined the Barbados Vagrants & Homeless Society and other groups in Queen’s Park where the less fortunate were treated before the crew fanned out to other parishes to spread good tidings.
The homeless and others less fortunate received breakfast, clothes, shoes, haircuts and hampers as the volunteers, who included entertainers, also handed out scores of gifts at the Nightingale Home and the Geriatric Hospital. (AC)
