Senior still without ID
ALMOST TWO YEARS after Sandra Thorpe made an appeal through THE NATION for someone who recognised her to verify who she is, she is yet to be identified.
Thorpe said yesterday she now had a cataract on her left eye and might not be able to get the medical care she needed since she had no Barbados identification card to present to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Thorpe’s plight was initially highlighted in May 2013. At the time she was accompanied by an electoral officer of the Electoral and Boundaries Commission (EBC), Charles Bostic.
He had been assisting Thorpe for almost a year, but after he had investigated many leads, no one could verify who she was.
