All still not well with Nigerian students
EVEN AS the 87 Nigerian students prepare to get started with their classes at the Barbados Community College (BCC) tomorrow, their accommodation arrangements still remain in limbo.
Yesterday the students attended an orientation session at the Howells Cross Road, St Michael campus while Nigerian officials – Acting High Commissioner to Trinidad, Ganiyu Adeyemi, his deputy Frank Nmadu and deputy governor of Delta State, Professor Amos Utuama – met with principal Dr Gladstone Best and other BCC staff.
The Nigerian officials are here on a fact-finding mission following several controversies issues which have arisen since the students arrived almost four weeks ago.
On Monday they met with Minister of Education Ronald Jones and other ministry officials.
