A SPECIAL moment for an adult is recalling that first school outing to faraway places away from the strict teaching environment of the classroom.

About a dozen toddlers from the St Boniface Nursery School had an opportunity this morning to store such memories for the future when they visited the Cheapside Market and the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex as part of their teaching unit this year entitled Harvest Time.

Sylvia Bridgeman, an early childhood coordinator, told NATIONNEWS that the students were focussing on produce from the land this term and farm animals and yields from the sea during term three.

She said pupils have been engaged in several activities exploring, manipulating, learning about seedlings, conducting experiments and caring for the young plants among other projects. (JS)
