Oncology centre gets new chairs

CANCER PATIENTS at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital got an early gift ahead of Wednesday’s observation of World Cancer Day.

Immediate past president of the Barbados Cancer Society, Professor Timothy Roach, officially presented 36 chairs to the department named for Clara Brathwaite, the late grandmother of Rihanna, earlier today.

The blue, red and yellow chairs, which are already in use in the waiting area, were received by head of radiology Dr Radhakanath Shenoy. (YB)
