Death shocks family, friends

STEPHEN CHASE felt as if he had cheated death but his friends and family are finding it difficult to come to grips with his suspected suicide last Saturday.

The 28-year-old man was found hanging at his Kingsland, Christ Church home, a shoelace tied around his neck and an apparent suicide note nearby.

But his girlfriend and mother of his two year-old child, Kaara Marshall, told the MIDWEEK NATION yesterday that he left her home in “good spirits” on Friday night and even texted her around 3 a.m. Saturday to tell her he would see her later that morning.
