‘Hike fares’

BUS FARES IN Barbados need to be reviewed.

This is the view of Roy Raphael, chairman of the Alliance of Owners of Public Service Vehicles, calling for an increase on the $2 adult fare.

While not giving any indicating of what a new fare should be, he was clear that “the time has come to discuss bus fares”.

It will be one of the issues on the agenda when his organisation and the rival Association of Public Transport Operators (APTO) meet to discuss a range of issues relating to the public transport system.
