Classes cut?

THE NIGERIAN education project, which has been dogged by controversy in Barbados, seems to be ending on a sour note.

The students from Nigeria’s oil-rich Delta State were notified on Thursday that the local programme had been cancelled.

Some of the students told the SUNDAY SUN that a representative for coordinator Donna St Hill had posted several notices at Casa Grande Hotel where they are staying and also verbally informed them that the programme was being terminated.

The notice read: “Please be advised that the Delta State Youth Empowerment Program Barbados has been terminated with immediate effect, by order of His Excellency, Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan.
