Job search widens

WITH THE CANADIAN government tightening restrictions on recruiting short-term immigrant labour in the hospitality sector, Barbados is looking to tap other employment opportunities there.

But it remains optimistic about the chances of continuing to land short-term jobs at hotels, restaurants and other Canadian businesses.

This was the picture Minister of Labour Dr Esther Byer painted yesterday during a meeting at the ministry to review the Canadian employment
