Two charged following Derricks drug seizure

POLICE HAVE ARRESTED and charged two men in connection with the seizureĀ of 466.18 pounds of cannabis during an operation on the beach at Derricks, St James on Monday night.

They are 42-year-old Elvis Touissant, a Grenadian residing in St Vincent and 34-year-old William Percival Browne, a Vincentian.

They were jointly charged for the offences of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

In addition, Toussaint and Browne were each charged with entering the island other than at a port of entry and disembarking without the consent of an immigration officer.

They are expected to appear at the Holetown/District E Court today. (PR/NB)
