11 Nigerians get walking papers
ELEVEN NIGERIAN STUDENTS are due to fly out of Barbados this morning on their journey back home.
The students, part of the 87 who are here in Barbados to enrol at the Barbados Community College, received a letter which was sent to the Nigerian High Commissioner in Trinidad, from the Ministry of Higher Education in Nigeria’s Delta State, informing that they were being recalled with immediate effect.
A source said last night that the targeted students had been the most vocal among the group in complaining, sometimes publicly, about various issues, since they arrived last December.
The letter which was signed by Commissioner Charles Emetulu, said: “I wish . . . to inform you that the visa and period of stay granted the 90 Delta State trainees to Barbados expired January 31, 2015.
