Partial road closure for BWA repairs

THE ROAD LEADING from the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) Pumping Station at Applewhaites, St George to Bibby’s Lane will be partially closed this weekend.

This will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, along Highway 3A.

Full access will be granted to public service vehicles, emergency services and residents of the immediate environs while limited access will be granted to general vehicular traffic.

The following alternative traffic diversions can be used by the travelling public who wish to avoid these areas under construction:

Going out of Bridgetown: Turn left off Highway 3A at the Canewood junction, right through Cane Garden Development, right again onto Highway 2, utilising Bridgefield, Hopewell and through Jack-in-the-box Gully.

Going in the direction of Bridgetown: Travelling along Proute and coming from the directing of Country View, motorists are asked to utilise Locust Hall Tenantry Road onto Highway 3.
