CELEBRATIONS TO MARK African Awareness Month continued in earnest yesterday at a number of primary and some secondary schools.

At Gordon Walters Primary School, St Patrick’s, Christ Church, students turned out beautifully clad in their African garb, with some wearing intricately designed headpieces and wraps. Almost every outfit showed great attention to detail.

Principal Tyrone Marshall was not to be leftout as he led from the front with his own African-inspired outfit.

Apart from the show of African fashion, students also learned of the importance of their African heritage and culture. (GE)
