‘Hole’ lot of fun
IT WAS A DAY to meet new friends and a time to reconnect with long lost ones.
It was an occasion to sample some of the scrumptious delicacies which the island is known for and to be captivated by the display of cultural expressions.
It was the day that the streets of Holetown, St James, once again came alive, figuratively, as scores of people descended on the stretch in front of the police station for a glimpse of the cultural explosion that is The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.’s Holetown Dooflicky at the 39th Annual Holetown Festival.
Not a space was vacant as people converged in every vantage point to witness the array of talent displayed. From babes in arms, tiny tots viewing from the perspective of their parents’ shoulders, to the tourists capturing every image through the third eye of their camera lens – it was an occasion for family.
