Weymouth Wales and the Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) moved to the top of the Digicel Premier League with narrow victories last Sunday evening at the Empire Club grounds.
Wales came from a goal down to defeat Pride of Gall Hill 2-1, while the defending champions BDFSP edged Mackeson Brittons Hill 1-0.
In the opening fixture, Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame survived two goalkeeper calamities to defeat Silver Sands 3-2.
Notre Dame opened the scoring in the third minute through new acquisition Renaldo Seale, but Silver Sands quickly replied when Rico Ford scored five minutes later.
