THE AILING West Indies’ cricket has been likened to a cancer and a renewed call has been made for the regional board to be accountable to Caribbean people.
That’s the view of legendary former Test fast bowler Sir Wesley Hall, who also yorked West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) president Dave Cameron for his controversial retweet of a fan’s suggestion of a retirement package for star batsman Chris Gayle.
Sir Wesley made it clear while delivering the feature address of the annual Barbados Cricket Association’s (BCA) awards ceremony on Friday night at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre that he would “never comment adversely on the current president’s stewardship” from the point of view that he had also been a WICB president.
