Double for St Giles

ON A DAY when 11 records were set, St Giles were the talk of the Jim Wedderburn Zone of NAPSAC as they did the double, winning the girls and sharing the boys with Bay Primary.

The girls topped the table with 187 points to beat Arthur Smith into second spot on 148, followed by Sharon (120), Hilda Skeene (119) and Grantley Prescod (93.50) as the top five.

The boys tied with Bay Primary on 138 points. Grantley Prescod came third with 108.50, Hilda Skeene fourth on 94.50 and Roland Edwards fifth on 82.

Under-9 speedster Tyresha Clarke was one of the main reasons St Giles jumped for glory as she won the sprints in record times.
