YOUNG ATTORNEY, Michelle Forde, fell from a chair in Supreme Court No. 2 during a trial in the Criminal Assizes this evening.

In the post-lunch hearing of the trial of Ricky Roland Alkins, who is charged with causing and inflicting serious bodily harm on another man, Forde, who is working with Kerrie Symmonds in defending the accused, dropped when her chair broke.

The matter was adjourned for about 30 minutes as Forde left and returned to continue working.

The four attorneys present were therefore moved to the inner bar usually reserved for senior counsel, and continued until the day’s business ended.

Forde afterwards complained of slight discomfort while walking from the halls of justice. (Coastline Communication)
