 History beckons for Barbados’ Davis Cup squad yet again, with Darian King and Haydn Lewis putting the hosts within striking distance of a first ever Group I win over the Dominican Republic via yesterday’s resounding tie breaking doubles victory at the National Tennis Centre.

Buoyed by another supportive home crowd and gusty conditions, the dynamic duo merely breezed to their latest straight sets triumph after blowing past world no. 56 Victor Estrella and Jose Hernandez 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 in just about 90 minutes.
