Jamaican woman accused of smuggling cannabis in cooler

A JAMAICAN WOMAN is expected to appear in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court today accused of attempting to bring drugs into the Barbados.

Police say 54-year-old Jennifer Minerva Taylor arrived by air yesterday from her homeland and she was interviewed by police and referred to Customs.

A search of a box which was part of her luggage reportedly revealed seven packages of cannabis concealed in a cooler. The packages weighed a total of two pounds.

Taylor faces charges of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. (PR/NB)
