ACCUSING POLICE of taking the fun out of sport shooting, hundreds of firearm owners are preparing to take Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith to court.

This follows the discovery this week that the Royal Barbados Police Force has decided to revoke en masse the permits of all gun owners that carry the “sporting” label.

According to one police source, there never was any provision in the Firearms Act for a “sporting licence. (RRM)
