THE PEOPLE’S CATHEDRAL school took on the character of a lab when the juniors from the science department conducted a number of experiments as part of their science fair last Friday.
Teacher Peter Farnum said science was a part of the world and the children needed to learn and understand scientific methods and processes, “to investigate and discover the truth and the nature of the physical world they live in”.
He said it was possible to expose the tools of science and to bring it to life at the primary school age and the focus of the science fair was not to get heavily into books for research but to do investigative experiments. (LK)
