Cops byte-ing into cyber-crime
THE LOCAL POLICE FORCE is working with international agencies to establish a cybercrime lab on the island.
This has been revealed by Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, Erwin Boyce, who added that the unit that deals with such crimes could use more resources.
Boyce was speaking yesterday during a panel discussion put on by the University of the West Indies Open Campus, the Central Bank of Barbados and Columbus Business Solutions, on the theme The Internet, The Law And The Public: How Cyber Secured Are We?
Answering a question from a member of the audience, Boyce noted the local force had previously worked with international agencies to solve Internet crimes. (HLE)
