BSSAC ‘passing grade’

THE QUALITY of the competition at the 2015 Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC) has earned a passing grade from Olympic bronze medallist Jim Wedderburn.

Wedderburn, who watched all of the action from Friday’s finals at the National Stadium, told NATION SPORT, the future looks bright.

“I thought the meet was very well organised and the competition was great. Quite a few records were broken and I can see a lot of promising athletes here. All we have to do now is to harness this talent and develop a programme over the next few years geared to major meets such as the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.
