Coaching change no help for Warrens

THE CHANGE AT THE TOP did nothing to help Pan American Life Warrens move from the bottom.

Akeem Marsh had a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds, as Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics wrecked Peter Alleyne’s 2015 coaching debut via a 73-65 win in Saturday’s Co-operators General Insurance Premier League basketball action at the Barbados Community College.

It’s just the latest in a startling line of losses for a Warriors side that lost their previous four fixtures, prompting the coaching change from Ianthum Alleyne to his younger brother.

They even made adjustments to the starting line-up, with 6ft 10in. national centre Pearson Griffith and point guard Russell Armstrong making way for Rudy Howard and Jamar King, respectively.
