THE ROYAL BARBADOS Police Force is advising members of the public to be careful about allowing strangers into their home.

In a public awareness notice issued this afternoon, they also urged residents to be vigilant at all times and to report all suspicious activities to them.

“There are reports engaging our attention where unidentified persons have been approaching residences pretending to be workers from various organisations, and using other various pretences in a bid to gain access and commit theft.

“We are therefore appealing to the public to be mindful of the situation and to immediately inform the police of any strangers and/or strange vehicles moving around their community and/or any suspicious activity,” the statement said.

It also noted that a team of investigators has been deployed to deal with the situation.  (PR/NB)
