It was the second half of the night when a video presentation featuring Straker’s former band mates Robin Hunte, Chris Gibbs, Willie Kerr and Peter Roett, alongside Red Plastic Bag, Biggie Irie, Sir Garfield Sobers, Gabby, Eddie Grant and others spoke of Straker’s contribution to the musical and cultural landscape of the island.

Blood and others then led the Tribute Band through some of the Merrymen’s greatest hits, and at the end were joined on stage by Straker himself singing Beautiful Barbados.
