BRA going after tax defaulters

THE BARBADOS REVENUE AUTHORITY (BRA) will be going after all those who are delinquent in paying their taxes.

In an effort to realise this objective, the BRA is activating its debt collection.

That was the word from Margaret Sivers, Commissioner of the BRA, during an exclusive interview with SATURDAY SUN after the launch of the 16th Regional Revenue Games at the St Ann’s Fort on Thursday night.

Taxpayers are indebted to the various collection agencies to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars which have mounted over many years. These include income taxes, VAT and land taxes, with  various appeals by the authorities for individuals and corporate to pay up not heeded. (KB)
