THE EIGHT Nigerian students who were resisting their recall have finally left for home.

The eight men flew out yesterday evening, after they were escorted to the airport by immigration officials, for their four-day trip back home.

They were all seemingly happy to be leaving as two of them actually sang and danced in the streets when the two immigration vehicles arrived at the St James guest house where they have been staying for the past two months.

Samson Ukwedojor, spokesman for the group, told the SUNDAY SUN: “We are feeling good today; we are just happy. We want to say thank you to the Barbadian people for their hospitality. We are grateful for everything they have done for us. We appreciate them and God should bless them all.”

They were among 87 Nigerians who came to Barbados last December to enrol in hospitality and agricultural studies at the Barbados Community College. (MB)
