Honours to Poetic, Thismeanswar

Poetic Licence and Thismeanwar won the feature races yesterday at the Garrison Savannah on the Caribbean Horse Grand Stand Posse race day, the seventh day of the Barbados Turf Club’s first season.

The Bills Incorporated-owned Poetic Licence, under jockey Rickey Walcott, won the Caribbean Horse Grand Stand Posse Fillies Trail over 1 570 metres for West Indian bred three-year-old fillies.

It proved to be a canter as he stormed home by nine and a half widening lengths.

Ryan Moseley, a member of the successful connections, told SunSport: “It is a pleasure to have a horse like her who can win without us getting too emotional before the race.”
