Three Bajans land Carifta gold

BARBADOS celebrated the capture of three golds medals at the CARIFTA Games last night, compliments of Mario Burke, Mary Fraser and Hayley Matthews.

Last year, Burke left the Games injured and without a medal after promising to deliver so much.

There is a saying that nothing happens before its time, and Burke absolutely stunned competitors, spectators and commentators alike, racing to gold in the 100 metres in a personal best 10.21 seconds, his very first year in the Under-20 boys’ division.
