Drug accused to appear in court today

A MAN IS expected to appear in court today charged with the trafficking and importation of one pound of cannabis.

According to police, 26-year-old Jamaican Dwayne Sylvester Phillips arrived in Barbados by air on April 4 and was interviewed by police after he cleared Immigration.

He was then referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he reportedly passed out sixty-five packets of cannabis.

Phillips is scheduled to appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court where he will also face charges of possession and possession with intent to supply. (PR/NB)
